Green Baize Limited company director is Stuart Green. Stuart is an ex-professional snooker & English pool player, he is also a grade A World Snooker coach so without doubt you will be in good hands.

He has more than 30 years of experience helping players to select personal playing cues, this knowledge and understanding gives customers confidence in the advice he offers, with his help and guidance you will find what you require much easier.

A few words from Stuart…

The idea behind setting up Green Baize came when my cue was stolen. I struggled to find a cue that really suited me because of the lack of specialist retailers. I therefore had to go through the process of having cues custom-made to my specifications which was costly, time consuming and unfortunately did not work for me.

What I didn’t know at the time was every cue has a different feel and playability even when made to preferred specifications, I had an expectation to how I wanted my new cue to feel and play which made it impossible to be made to order.

This unrewarding experience gave me the inspiration to set up a facility to help other players find their perfect cue. Established for well over 2 decades I have built an excellent reputation for customer service, selling great quality cues. I strive to buy the best quality cues to sell at affordable prices giving our customers complete satisfaction.

The Green Baize showroom has an extensive range of cues and cases to choose from. You won’t need to wait a long period of time for a desired cue or case, the products displayed on our website are already in our showroom. I put a lot of effort into making sure the shop stocks the best quality cues to fit all budgets.
Brands we stock – Ton Praram III, Maximus, VR, Sunny Akani, Impression & Precision to sell alongside our own custom made GBL cues.
It’s not uncommon for customers to travel extremely long distances to visit our showroom. Set up over 2 floors we cater for all standards of players, regularly having professional players in our showroom looking for new cues.
We have 4 x Riley Aristocrat steel block match snooker tables, 2 x Supreme winner pool tables , and a Joy Chinese 8 ball table that we allow customers the luxury of testing cues on. This is undoubtedly the best way to find a cue that suits you. It’s our job to give you all the help and advice you need to find your perfect cue.
We have a team of 7, who are all knowledgeable, dedicated and helpful.

Let me introduce you to the team..........

Working alongside me at Green Baize is Paul Bennett. Paul is a former top 10 ranked professional billiards player, 2 x English amateur Billiard’s champion. Paul is also a very good snooker player and qualified world snooker coach with many years of experience.

Luke Scarth. Luke is a true cue sport enthusiast. Enjoys playing snooker and pool. He played on the IPA tour in 2013. Playing for Cleveland County, his team has won national titles at Junior and senior level. Luke is enjoying snooker and has just become a level 1 WPBSA coach.

My eldest son Kayne. Kayne joined us to focus mainly on the website. Kayne is a capable player, he enjoys snooker and pool. He doesn’t compete in events, but once turned up to play in the Cleveland county under 18’s championship for a bit of fun when he was 13, amazingly he won that day, too my knowledge it’s the only competition he’s played in!

Our youngest is Miles Hague. Miles loves the game, a keen player who hopes to be knocking in regular centuries soon. He's learning fast, and has already become a valued member of our team.

Craig Fitzpatrick. Some of you will know Craig Fitzpatrick is a former cue maker, Craig stopped making cues due to health issues caused by dust. He's played Billiards for England, a regular player in World Billiards events. Craig is a valued member of the team, his experience and knowledge of cues is extensive, our customers also benefit from him fitting tips and ferrules in store.

We're delighted to welcome Jonathan Birch as the newest member of the Green Baize team.
Jon is a name many will recognise. After dominating the pro-am scene through the 1980's, he turned professional in 1990 and went on to enjoy a 15 year career at the highest level. Known for his flamboyant style of play, sharp tactical mind, and deep understanding of the game, Jon has earned huge respect across the snooker community. His knowledge, experience, passion for the game makes him an outstanding addition to our team, and we're excited for what he'll bring to Green Baize and our customers alike.
As a team we all have good knowledge about cues. More importantly we have the knowledge and understanding to help players find the right cue.

When buying online – The pictures you see on our website are of the actual cues you will receive when buying. We appreciate you don’t have the same opportunity to test cues out. But you can be safe in the knowledge cues go through multiple quality control checks before being added online, with addtional final checks before packing when sold.

If required you can call or email us, we will take the time to go over your personal preferences and expectations. We regularly test cues out ourselves to check playability, including deflection to ensure cues are suitable for you to choose from.
We only send out cues if we are 100% happy with them ourselves, if we have any doubts or issues with a cue when preparing to send out we will let you know.
If after trying the cue you feel it’s not suitable, don’t worry please let us know. It’s ok to return, we will help to find a more suitable cue, or product refund if preferred.
